Welcome to the world of El Tahona Tequila
Where the artistry of tradition and the innovation of the future converge in every exquisite sip.
A tequila with heritage
The story of El Tahona began in the sun-drenched valleys of Jalisco, Mexico, during the late 1800s. It was a time when tequila was not just a drink, but a cultural legacy deeply intertwined with the region's history. The brand's founder, Don Rafael Mendoza, a dedicated farmer and a true aficionado of tequila, envisioned creating a tequila that would honor the traditions of the past while embracing the possibilities of the future.
The tahona Wheel
The turning point in El Tahona's history came when Don Rafael stumbled upon an ancient tahona wheel buried beneath the grounds of his agave fields. This traditional stone wheel, used for crushing agave, was a testament to the craftsmanship of the past. Inspired by this discovery, Don Rafael decided to name his tequila "El Tahona," paying homage to the instrument that had played a crucial role in shaping tequila's history.
